One child was strapped onto my back, while one crawled inside the playground. I stayed up all night days over months of sanding, and removing wallpaper, with one child. Ha! Everything was starting to fall in place, yet it was not quite done. It would take money, effort, and of course my favourite shopping experience to complete the interior of this house. My sons, my husband and I searched for hidden gems while at estate sales to ensure that my spending was under control. Our weekly routine was to walk from Thursday through Saturday through estate sales and garage sales buying a mixture of vintage and modern pieces, as well as spending on weekdays painting and sanding the driveway. The furniture was like this... which is the place I discovered my love to restore. After our home was fully furnished, I still couldn't give up! There was an area in the market that I could sell my pieces. Eventually, my collection grew so large that the room I had was not enough. Then I began hosting open houses in my home that saw more than 1 000 visitors came through on a single weekend and could buy anything they saw on the first floor. This is where my business Growing Days was born. Not only was my business thriving but I was growing my sweet family too. As a mom of a child I was able to strike the right way to be able to begin my own business and also become a great mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. Nora, my 4th kid was born in the year 2013. This was a fantastic direction for my company, however, I needed a vacation. I took some time away from vintage furniture to spend more quality time with my family. It was time. After a few minutes I began to hear my phone getting busy. They asked for assistance with interior decorating as well as renovations. The majority of them were those who had walked through my house during open house for furniture! In the course of my work, I added customers to my client list each day. However, it didn't take long before I had several clients, and had an extremely successful business of home renovation. When I first heard about my home renovation business, I laughed. In fact, I do laugh when I think about the idea.
