Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson was an American actress best known for portraying Buffy Summers, in the popular film Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Some other notable roles are Rebecca Becky Granger from the telefilm Nightingales in addition to the short-lived NBC show of the same name. Erica Paget portrayed Early Edition in CBS and Marlowe Viccellio starred in Psych. Born in California, she became interested in acting as a young child. Her career began in the field of advertising where she appeared in several commercials. Her screen debut was on the episode of NBCs sitcom It's Your Time in 1984. Her debut was on the large screen two years later in the romance comedy Pretty in Pink. Swan is known for her lisp of blonde and her breathless voice. Recently, she's shifted from playing main characters to secondary characters. She won an award called the Young Artist Award in 1989 for Best Young Actress in Horror or Mystery Motion Pictures in the film Flowers in the Attic.
