Jenna Fischer is best known for her character Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office The Office, for which she won the Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress and Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from An Ensemble Comedy.
Jenna was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna's mom Anne often performed in dramas at church when she was younger, and this instilled an interest in theater.
Fischer is an actor with theater training. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy. Then she starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist production starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey, Fischer's real-life friend as well as a castmate, started Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The podcast became extremely popular, and was ranked in the Top Ten of the world each week. It had more than 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
She's also the author of The Actor's Life An Actor's Survival Guide (coauthored by Angela Kinsey), in which her story of moving between St. Louis to Hollywood and becoming a working actress is narrated. The Office BFF's : Stories of The Office by Two Best Friends That Were There is also a memoir of Angela Kinsey and herself, and their friendship while working for The Office.
