Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actor who is known for her leading roles in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful performance in films. The audience for her work is both Canadian as well as American television. Emily began acting at 12 after she had a visit with her elder sister Katie in one of Katie's films. When Emily realized her love for acting, she began taking classes in acting and auditions. She was initially cast in a couple of commercials before being offered a role on the Canadian television show for children Are You Are You Scared of Darkness? One scene in which she appeared without speaking even a single word. Her first break came at 15 years old when she got a role on the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular. Emily's talent was noticed by Greg Berlanti after the series was cancelled after nine short episodes. The show's creator cast Emily as a character on Everwood which is his upcoming TV show. Emily has also been a dancer as well as a photographer. She was named one of the top 20 teens' actresses. Emily was listed as the 51st in the Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
